12.12.06 Honorabe mention for Melis’ elemenT in “Skin of Corian” award
GBO recieves a honorable mention in category A (projects already completed) of the “Skin of Corian®” award for the Melis elemenT series.
The competition is organized by DuPont in cooperation with Designboom. Up.
07.12.06 New Website!
After an intensive rebuilding of our studio in Helmond earlier this year, we also rebuilt our website! The site has a fresh feel to it, and will be updated regularly with news and realized projects. Up.
01.12.06 Melis elemenT wins IF Award
After Melis’ elemenT series had already won a DesignPLUS award it now also has won a IF Award! In the category “Lighting” it outwitted all competitors. Up.
05.09.06 GBO chooses SolidWorks
Besides the UGS software GBO also selected SolidWorks. The package will be utilized by engineers as well as designers. This way the collaboration between design and engineering will be optimized even further. Up.
03.09.06 Wilnest at SPOGA
At the SPOGA fair in Cologne a completely plastic manufactured birdhouse is introduced. GBO developed this distinct home for every bird. Equal to any state of weather, and by applying multiple sizes of openings it’s suitable for many bird species.
Next to the development of the birdhouse, GBO also designed the stand for Wilnest.

14.08.06 New employees
As of halfway August the GBO team will be reinforced with four new employees. For GBO Netherlands Werner Hoeve and Sander van Osch will strengthen the Creative Engineering-team. Ruud Crommentuijn will be our Graphic Designer. His occupation will be packaging design, website design and the GBO identity. read more… Up.
12.05.06 Rebuilding finished
After a few months of dust and noise we’re done: the rebuilding is finished! This means time for a party. During our Open House at the 12th and 13th of May we will be glad to show you around in our renovated building. Up.
23.04.06 Melis elemenT wins DesignPLUS award
At the fair Light + Building 2006 in Frankfurt the by GBO designed elemenT series obtained the prestigious DesignPLUS award. The elemenT series of Melis Lighting is an architectual design lightingseries especially designed for luxurous offices, fashionshops and flagship stores. The elemenT family brings surprising lightemotion into the armatures that perfectly merge into their surroundings. Up.
03.01.06 Butterfly wins horecava award
GBO and GS Windscreen developed the Butterfly: a wireless LED lighting system, intended for outdoor usage. At the Horecava it won the Horecava Innovation Award 2006 in the category “Interior and Design”. Up.
