Again a client of GBO has reached a high place in the Innovation Top 100! Last year Virtual Proteins reached seventh place and this year Agis Automatisering took first place with its FastFocus SensOren (SenseEars) in the competition for stimulating innovation. GBO helped with the product optimization of the SensOren.
The SensOren together with Cowmanager is a continuous measuring system which doesn’t monitor rectally but via the cow’s ear. The SensOor is a soft silicon fixture with a chip inside and is shaped to fit the inside of a cow’s ear.
This way the SensOor can be attached inside the ear without harming the animal. The chip continuously measures vital signs like temperature, activity, breathing, heartbeat and chewing the cud. These data are transmitted to a central computer in the stable or to the farmer’s mobile phone.
When abnormalities are detected the screen starts to blink, a message appears or a sound rings. To locate the regarding cow the SensOor can make a sound. Now the farmer can detect womb- or udder infection, salmonella poisoning or if the cow is about to go in labour at an early stage. Up.
